North Face 100, BITEC Half Marathon & more
Packed running weekend in Thailand! Races from Chiang Mai in the north, to Nakhon Si Thammarat in the south and other regions in between.
Two Bangkok races on Sunday; RU 42nd Anniversary Mini Marathon and BITEC Half Marathon. The latter is likely to be a fast one as a few top African runners from Khon Kaen Marathon have stayed in Thailand. BITEC is a good opportunity to collect some pocket money and to get a fast race in before they move on to compete in Hong Kong or Taiwan in the weeks to come.
The North Face 100 is probably this weekend’s major, attracting almost 2,500 participants to run 10-100k in the beautiful Khao Yai. For the ones doing 100k, this is a full weekend event, starting with registration, briefing etc on Friday, running on Saturday and then award ceremony on Sunday. I’m taking part in the more humane 25k category, hoping Saturday morning will be enough.
See all the weekend’s races here.
good luck every runner
