Race reports – Sunday October 13
While Run Thailand was enjoying a beach weekend in lovely Sam Roi Yod and Dolphin Bay Resort, there were some races taking place also this weekend.
The Ramathibodi Specialist Run reached its full capacity of 1,000+ participants. Yet another fully booked race confirming that Thailand running is on the rise. According to one of Run Thailand’s running spies, it was a well-organized race starting right on time. Interesting route and great post-race food was provided.
In another part of Bangkok, the Running for Good His Majesty for Harmony took place. The reports say it was a nice 10k run, far from being overcrowded. A young Thai runner finished first, sneaking just under 36 minutes. First runner up was a certain Japanese machine, finishing just after the winner.
This weekend’s special kind of event was Randy and Craig’s Bangkok to Ayutthaya run. At 11:44 AM on Saturday morning, the Runventure boys reached their goal after some 70 kilometers of running. Well done!
I think I know this Japanese machine. :-)I hope Run Thailand is well-rested, because next weekend will be action-packed.
Hope Run Thailand enjoyed family reunion while 2 team mates were also enjoying 69k up north.
Yes Craig, I think you do know him. Indeed, an action-packed weekend ahead!
I sure had a nice weekend Maz! Running to Ayutthaya would have been nice too though… at least afterwards.
