Unique Running Ekiden Relay 2013
Today’s Ekiden Relay by Unique Running was a success. The organiser had to close the registration earlier this week since the 100-team limit was reached. Each team consisted of five runners and every runner did 2-4 legs of 2.6 kilometer. In total 16 legs per team, covering 41.6 km. The name of the race heritages from the Ekiden races in Japan.
The 500 runners gathered up in the Rot Fai Park in Bangkok, race start was 6 AM. Reports confirm a nice atmosphere in the park, runners were cheering one another while the “Tasuki” was handed over from one runner to the next.
In summary: a well-organised relay that differs from most other running events here in Thailand.
