Rayong & Chiang Mai Races
Big marathon event in Osaka today, good prize money in Jakarta Marathon’s pot, but this weekend’s main Thailand running race was held in Rayong.
The 7th PTT Group Marathon in Rayong attracted thousands to run the rather hilly course along the highway. The marathon and the half marathon races were dominated by Kenyans, whereas some young Thai runners stole the quarter marathon show. Results from the PTT Group Marathon 2013.
Chiang Mai is hosting plenty of running events and yesterday’s Subnateetam Mini Marathon was just an example. If you are looking for a Thai race in a cooler climate, a Chiang Mai race in the months to come might be worth considering.
Next week will be yet another exciting running weekend in Thailand, including the Zulu W 80 km run. Note though, that the Kao-Cha-Ngok Super-Half Marathon in Nakonnayok is postponed to December the 1st.
