The weekend’s race menu
Children, peace and charity in general – many good causes to run for this weekend! There are 10k races from Chiang Mai in north to Hat Yai in south as well as in Bangkok. So, what’s exactly is on this weekend’s running menu?
On Saturday September 21, the Krabi Trophy adventure race is held. It’s a part of the Amazing Thailand Adventure Race Series, including biking, running, kayaking and swimming. (Registration closed)
Sunday the 22nd offers plenty of races scattered across Thailand.
- UNICEF organizes Run For Children 2013, a 10k run in Suan Luang Rama 9 Park, Bangkok.
- The World Vision Mini Marathon in Chiang Mai is another 10k charity event on Sunday.
- Down south in Hat Yai, you can Walk-Run for Peace. Distances of 4 and 10.5 km are available.
- In Paklok, Phuket, Starwood Mini Marathon for Charity is yet another “run for a good cause” event. 3.5 and 10.5 km.
- Sueapa Club in Ratchaburi organizes an event of 10.5 km running, 3 km walking and 40 km bicycling. Sounds like a perfect race for triathletes who can’t swim.
As for Friday afternoon, all races but the Krabi Trophy are still open for registration.
